Jon shoots for
clients all over the world.
But don't just take his word for it...............this
is what just a few have to say............. |
"Jon
is an expert photographer, dependable and ethical
out in the field. He communicates well with a team
of photographers, as well as with editors. Jon stands
out as an efficient, skilled photographer who has
sent me timely material from all over the world. I
was particularly impressed with his action images
and fresh perspectives during the recent America's
Cup in Auckland, New Zealand."
Trixie Bobrovniczky Wadson - Sailing
World Picture Editor (USA). |

Over
the years Jon has supplied BT with images from company’s
varied involvement’s in the sport of sailing,
from day regattas and match racing championships to
supplying images for its coffee table books on events
such as the dramatic BT Global challenge where Jon
crewed the Southern Ocean leg of the around the world
yacht race in an effort to photograph the onboard
life of extreme ocean race crews. |
"The
sheer drama of men and women battling against the
elements in the Southern Ocean can only be successfully
captured in pictures by an exceptional professional
who shares the fears and aspirations of the team.
Jon Nash combined the role of crew member and photographer
on Nuclear Electric in the BT Global Challenge and
in the process produced a stunning portfolio - perhaps
the best visual record that has emerged from the
World's Toughest Yacht Race."
Martin Kay Project co-ordinator for
Nuclear Electric, BT Global Challenge yacht.

Jon has worked for
the Camel group on 2 occasions. The first being in
Costa Rica on the Camel white water Challenge and
the second being employed for his water based experience
and knowledge on the last of the historic Camel Trophy
events, which was in Tonga and Samoa. Images were
provided to the sponsor for world wide editorial use
and advertising campaigns. |
"Jon
Nash's recent images of Alex Thompson's 'Hugo Boss'
at speed are a benchmark for the industry. For years,
professional photographers have tried to capture performance
yachts surfing in extreme conditions and have rarely
succeeded. I am not surprised that these images are
now being published on front covers around the world"
Kos Evans - Acclaimed international
sailing photographer. |

"Motorola
Ocean Racing commissioned Jon to shoot compelling
action aerial / onboard rough weather archive photography
of british skipper Conrad Humphreys sailing on Open
60 'HELLOMOTO' for The Transat and Vendee Globe 2004/05
campaigns.
Trying to accomplish a full photography brief can
be the most complex operation in sailing, as the weather
is forever changing and logistics are challenging.
My first port of call will always beJon Nash, for
his dynamism, imagination, perseverance, creativity
and professionalism
His intimate knowledge of and passion for offshore
sailing means that as the client you are guaranteed
the money shots, the most action-packed, emotive photography
that you never even thought could be caught on camera
but Jon really does go to extremes. Also the most
amiable photographer to work with, Jon can get anyone
to feel at ease in front of his lense, which means
he'll always capture that elusive, natural expression
which cannot be put into words, or get skippers to
pose for any shot that sponsors need, as sailors are
not always natural models!"
Mary Ambler - Communications Manager
- Motorola Ocean Racing Team. |

Nash is one of our highly respected photographers

His images of 'Hugo Boss' are the best I have ever
seen of an Open 60 in extreme conditions."

"Over
many years in Sailing Sponsorship we have had the
pleasure to be able to utilize many of the worlds
leading marine photographers.
Few though can compare with Jon Nash who is not only
to capture great action shots but is more over highly
skilled at working with the sailors, interpreting
their moods in a way that brings life to the images.
Being a sailor and an adventurer himself he clearly
knows the buttons to press when working with people."
Andrew Pindar - Director of Pindar
Graphics and former sponsor of Mike Sandersons solo
transat campaign. |
